Shooting with my boys

I've driven by Ben Avery Shooting Range about 500 times in my life, but have never actually gone to any of the ranges. It is a really nice facility and surprisingly busy. Casey (not my brother) just got a new scope for his 22, so it was pretty cool figuring out how to zero your scope in. I'm not a great range shooter, my hands shake pretty bad, and my eye sight is not the best so those two combinations don't add up to a handful of bulls eyes. I was incredibly stoked though that the first time I shot I hit the black dot from 50 feet, it was sick. Granted the rest of the day I didn't really come close to anything else, but all you need is one.

Design Lingo-Design World

I thought I would share my design knowledge with the rest of my blogging friends. Some of them like to feel superior by using french design terms to confuse us. What they don't know is that I studied design in high school and thought I would finally share my expertise. First, the design of my bedroom has changed over the years. In my infancy in the design world, I took a well known Arabic term called Damask and created Rebmask. For those of you who don't know Damask is a firm lustrous fabric that is woven together in flat patterns (see wikipedia). In the 4th grade I decided to start taking pictures from magazines and taping them on my wall. What started out as a small little section of my room soon grew to encompass all 4 walls and in fact was the start of Rebmask. This technique however similar to damasking actually takes the face of Country SuperStar Reba McEntire and creates an elaborate woven flat pattern. Though on the cutting edge in the decorating world, most critics find the technique obsessive and fanatical. But in my heart I know that Rebmask will soon be a hit and found in decorating magazines all over. While I would have been completely satisfied living in my Rebmask room the rest of my life, I had been bitten by the design bug and therefore had to move on to my second and most famous technique, Nospaze (pronounced with a slight french accent). This technique was born out of absolute necessity after returning from college. My wardrobe had doubled and the clothes I had acquired had to be put into another dresser, which put my wall space back to zero. With all the projects I'm constantly doing, I had to bring in my craft table which took my floor space to zero as well. Thus the word Nospaze in Latin translates to-an aggregate zero.

When discussing rules of design and beauty I try not to seem like a 'knowitall.' But since we discuss Damask in almost every conversation I decided to let my friends into my design world to take a peek and give them inspiration when doing their own children's bedrooms. Pink rooms with dark pink trees are great, but do they really compare to a Rebmask room or Nospaze room? I think not, ladies look below to see what real decorating is all about!

You can still find some Reba in my room today, if you look closely there is a Reba clock, a Reba candle etc.

Homecoming

Hailey's homecoming talk was great. All week we thought she would have about 30 minutes to speak, but Shelby and Gunnar took a good chunk of time which left Haze with just enough time to tell some great highlights of the mission. After we walked back to the house for some hamtastics and frog eye salad.

After seeing Cindy's picture, I made it a point to get one like hers...cant wait to see what we look like in 20 years! I know I will see this picture and comment on my hair!

When I first got to the C's I noticed a frame in the kitchen that had the original pictures in it. Tammy had just gotten it at RealDeals. While they were gone, I got some pictures developed and put pictures of me in it. I thought it would take atleast a day for someone to notice that I had changed the frame. But it took only seconds. I thought it was hilarious though-who does that!

It wouldn't be time with old friends if we didn't play a few rounds of Nertz. I kept score, kind of like fit club, it must be my calling in life to be a score keeper.

Valentines Day Date

Almost every single person I know has blogged about their Valentine's so here is my story.

Valentine's Day was so amazing. My honey let me sleep in till 10am, he is so sweet to me. I did my best to look gorgeous for him which included my first try at the Idaho Poof. We planned to go out for lunch since later that night my love had a really important game to attend with BSU. Now I'm not going to lie, he was almost late to our date, but heck, when he is so hot, its hard to get mad at him at all! Lunch was so romantic, he knows how much I love country so he took me to Texas Roadhouse my favorite. We talked the whole time about good times and about how perfect we are for each other. The food was great but making memories with my man was so much better! After lunch we wanted to do something active, but since it was so cold outside we opted for bowling, one of Babe's favorite past times. He usually is a Monday night dollar bowler but he decided to splurge and pay full price-the sacrifices he makes for me just makes my heart grow fonder! He really loves to bowl, he even has his own shoes and bowling ball. It hurts me every time I have to beat him. The game was so fun, he yelled, then I yelled, we are just too cute together. Granted he did remind me that my yells were closer to the sounds of what he will hear when I'm giving birth to our children, but I reminded him my screams of pain will not just be screams, but contain cuss words for sure. We ended the date like all bowling dates with a couple beers for the ride home. Dustin had to drink a few more than usual cause I kind of beat him pretty bad. But he still commented that it was the best Valentines day he had ever had, though I'm pretty sure it might be because his BSU basketball team beat Utah, but at this point in our relationship, I will take any compliment I get! I cant wait till next year!!!

Oh and we went with friends too!

The Sweetest Guy I Know....

This kid is seriously the best. I'm not sure I have ever met a more sincere, sweet, polite, awesome kid. I was shocked when I went to his wrestling match and after he was done came up and said to me, "Bree thanks so much for coming tonight." I wanted to go to the match and here he is thanking me for coming! I couldn't believe it. Then anytime we were in the kitchen he was either loading or unloading the dishwasher without me even telling him. This was the kicker, I was wiping off the counter or something else pretty meaningless and he says, "Bree, you're going to be a great mom some day, thanks for all you do" Are you kidding me? I don't know how Tammy raised such a great son. I really don't know why the girls are not all over him, he is so awesome and I am just waiting to find a guy(my age) half as sweet.

Feeding Abbie, so cute!

Private Property Photos

It seems I have alot of friends who love to have a camera in their hand. Amy had some homework to do with her camera, so I told her about some great looking barns, dressed up in cowboy attire and we were off. Hailey saw the No Trespassing sign right off the bat, but I assured her many times that that sign was for kids with spray paint, not for us! It was desperately cold, not 30 minutes earlier had I been coming out of Winco when snow/hail started coming down. This was also at the end of my two week session which meant, my second chin was coming in just great. These pictures are my inspiration to work out now that I'm home and start getting back into fit club mode. Haze flippin killed it with the model poses, Amy for sure will get an A+!
Oh I forgot the best part. Hailey was scared we were going to get in trouble for being on the property, but I didn't think we would at all. I mean we were only taking pictures. But of course about 20 minutes into the shoot we saw a car stop. I was designated talker, so I ran down the road and talked to this older lady who told me that it was her property. She was basically a jerk. I mean come on lady, like I would have any idea who to contact to find out if we could take pictures on your land. Eventually I sweet talked enough for her to let us stay and she even told me, its a good thing your taking pictures because we are getting rid of these barns soon. I had her eating out of my hand! lol

My favorite shot of the day. I just put my head down and shook it back in forth as I said, "What am I doing with my life?"

Gunnar vs Timberline

Gunnar gets a win!

Domination

Lip Sync Competition

I picked a great week to stay in Eagle. I got to see Gunnar in three wrestling matches and his lip sync competition. All the wrestlers get into groups and have a night after the season is over to just act silly. It was pretty hilarious. This is a video of them performing and lets just say there are a couple of hotties dancing around! They got first place too!!

Jamie and I bought wrestling shirts so we had to take pictures....

This is their lip sync from last year. Gunnar is in the blue hair with pig tails!

Colder Than A Well Diggers Butt

You can watch the first 10 seconds of this movie to understand this post title! I'm guessing it must be a southern thing, so maybe Cindy you can explain this to me? Also at 3:30 Reba sings a little bit of Cowgirls don't cry and its flippin amazing! She turns the word 'ride' into about 6 syllables!

I woke up this morning, flipped open the blinds and found this.....

Bobby J

I got to visit a bit with my little Bobby J, he is getting so big. His favorite thing to do is go up stairs!

The only picture I could get with glasses on

Haze is Home!

I wanted the sign to be huge. Matt thought it was a stupid idea and pointless. So of course I tried to get him to do alot of the work, plus he is a giant which comes in handy when hanging signs.

30 feet of "Welcome Home Hailey We Love and Missed You!"

The C's typically live in the Big Horn Neighborhood, but today it was the Big Haze Neighborhood

They have a place in Idaho called Zurchars, its like our Party City. We came up with a pirates theme and had our banner read, We Arrgh So Glad Your Home! Everyone wore pirate hats, eye patches, earrings and lip whistles.
She is here!!

we kind of matched, so we had to take a picture
