Halloween

I dont know why I am so peranoid, (Im pretty sure it has something to do with having a friend who loves her work as a rape counselor and loves telling us stories) but I dont like people I dont know knowing that I live alone, especially repair men.  I have watched way too many lifetime movies, csi, svu, criminal minds episodes to know that I would be a perfect target.  Hence every year that Ive lived in my house, I tend to just leave candy out in front of the door.  I must have seen something similiar on pinterest, but thought a real pumpkin would make the sucker sticks soggy or sticky.  Walmart had their stuff on semi clearance and I picked up this glowing foam pumpkin for just as much as a real pumpkin! I really wanted to write, dont be a dum dum, only take one one....but thougth it might confuse the kids.  After driving in traffic for two hours I finally made it home to watch my favorite episode of Reba-the halloween episode, it kills me everytime!

TUC

The day I left for BYU homecoming our site leader gathered us all in a room and told us our department would no longer exist come Monday.  Obviously not the best news right before vacation.  He explained the underwriters would be moved to different regions within the site.  I dont know that I was scared immeadiatly but we were all taken by surprise since our department was dominating.  It was quite the shock.  Thankfully both of my managers came to me and said not to worry that the other regions were fighting over me being on their teams.  I left on my trip still scared, not sure what it would be like when I returned and also thankful that I did still have a job.  On my return I took probably 2 weeks to clean up TUC, finish the billing reports, get the files taken care of etc.  And then I was told I would be going to Region 18, the number 1 region in the nation, they love to say that.  They trained me in about 4 hours and then I was covering 2 teams.  By the second day, I knew I wouldnt be able to handle the new job.  All I seemed to do was print files all day, and I can do more than just print files.  I met with the AUCM and we discussed the fact that I was doing way more in TUC and wanted to move to the closing department.  They agreed since another region was already trying to get me on their closing team.  As of now Ive been shadowing in the afternoons until my replacement can go full time.  So far I think its fun and hopefully will give me more opportunities for growth in the future.

BYU Homecoming

When I graduated college, I really wanted an excuse to come back to school, so I came up with this BYU Homecoming tradition.  I told all my roomies that it would be tradition for us to meet back every year for the BYU homecoming football game.  For 5 years I have been traveling up to Utah for homecoming. Every year was great and came with its own adventures.  Must do items have always included, Jdawgs, the creamery, shopping at the bookstore for hours, hitting the flower shop, stopping by sweet tooth fairy, stalking people, football game, walmart, university mall and so much more. This year we got to have a little baby shower for Ashley, watched Hailey and her flag football team, ate Korean food and saw a movie at the lice theater and always my favorite-roommate sunday dinner-not to mention a keep-see commercial.

I realized that this would probably be the last year of my made up homecoming tradition.  No one really lives in provo anymore, everyone has graduated and moved away and that makes the whole point of going to utah completely pointless.

For the football game, I alwasy seem to figure out a way to get a ticket. One year I bought them from someone on criagslist, another year Jess had an extra ticket and this year Madi gave me her ticket.  Of course it being my last year I wanted everyone to be there!  Most of the time, its not really hard to find tickets cause, of the weather or the fact that we are not really playing anyone that competeitive.  But this year of course they had to do something dramatic.  This was the game they played in all black uniforms! Everyone wanted to go to the game, which made finding tickets that much harder.  I just figured we would buy tickets outside from scalpers.  So before we start out on our walk to the stadium, I thought I would check with the girls locker room to see about getting change for a 20.  They didnt have cash and directed me to another place in the RB, but before I left I said, you dont have an extra ticket to the game do ya? Sure enough, she says, actually I do, I can email it to you right now!!!  I couldnt believe it!! She was so awesome, to just give us her ticket cause she was at work!  Now we only needed one more ticket.  There was a guy quite a ways from the stadium who was selling his for 15 a piece.  I thought, if we have to, we could go back to him.  As we got closer there were more people selling.  One guy had 3 tickets, so I asked how much, he said 15...but really i wanted one for 10.  So there is this old grandma holding one ticket up.  I ask her how much, she says 15 and then I say, would you do 10 for my pregnant friend and pulled Ashley closer to me!  The old lady didnt want to do it, but said, oh ok, and then grabbed me by the arm and said, What are you doing taking your pregnant friend to a football game!  Oh man, it totally made the day.  All three of us got in for a total of 10 bucks!  It was great, cause we even had really awesome seats.  Hailey, Brian, and Kenny met up with us after halftime.  BYU was doing great, the team we were playing was ranked in the top ten.  We kept up with them and in the 3rd quarter we were even ahead.  Sure enough our QB goes and throws a few interceptions and we got hammered.  It was so disappointing, but it was a better game then any of us thought it would be.  After the game we went to a Korean place for dinner.  Jess loved it cause they served warm water, just like in her mission.  It didnt have anything on panda express though.  We decided to go to a movie at the dollar theather and went to see Brave.  Def not the kind of movie that I thought it would be and literally was the first time in my life that I kinda fell asleep while watching a show in a theater.  Which was really ridiculous considering that it wasnt even late!

Sunday was eventful and was just like last year.  Someone clogged the toliet and it made for a great story.  Ashley's ward was really nice and I got to tell my memorized stories which I always like to do, despite not doing a stellar job this time. After church, Hailey, Brian and Kenny came over for dinner. It was awesome to get and sit around and talk with everyone.  Those are usually my favorite moments when I am with friends.  Jess came by and I talked her into doing a Keep See commercial with me before she left for P-town.  It was a fun night and so hard to go to bed, but Ash and I knew waking up would be killer if we didnt.  It still ended up being hard to wake up at 4am to get me to the airport even after trying to go to bed early, but it was worth it for sure.

 She hates when I leave!
