Boise-Day 5 Goodbye Reunion

Our time was slowly slipping away. I kept waking up super early so I was a little shocked when I looked at the clock and saw 11am! I hurried up and got ready and went down to eat with everyone.
Jessica was giving her farewell talk that afternoon, so we headed over to the church on state street. We tried to do the wave while Jessica was talking but everyone got too emotional. She did a great job and will def teach a lot of people in Singapore.

We rushed home and I transferred pictures while everyone packed up. Can you tell we are crazy about pictures, here's just a few.....

Baby Abbie

Bubble Bee It was getting late so we said our goodbyes and they headed south. I kicked back and worked on my blog, there was a lot to update. The rest of the fam got back from church and for some strange reason there were a ton of birds in the backyard. It didn’t take long before Gunnar had a gun out and Kyle was telling him which bird to shoot.
I missed my friends but was thankful for the time we had together and can only hope we can do it again sometime soon.

Boise-Day 4 Showering Salads

We were suppose to go play racquetball in the morning, but since Kara threw her back out, that was kind of out of the question. It was the morning I got my hair cut! I’ve been waiting to get my haircut since February when I was last in Eagle and it was getting way too long. After the haircut we went over to Natalie’s house for her baby shower. I technically never was Natalie’s roommate, but I think if we had been roommates we could have very well been out of control. The thing I wish we would have taken a picture of was the salad. Now I am not a salad girl, but this flippin salad was to die for. I knew Tammy was making me my favorite for dinner so I didn’t want to down it, but it really was so so good.

We headed back home and decided to take another dip in the pool. We ended up going back to Natalie’s house and swimming at her pool. Natalie had a spa, so I jumped in there while everyone else was in the pool. We chatted for quite a while about everything.

An old flame from Boise dialed me up and wanted to take me to the rodeo in Caldwell. The rodeo was a blast, they divide the audience into two parts, the civies (civilized folk) who sit in the shade and reserve seats and the rowdies (drunk rednecks) who have general admission seating and are out of control. I didn’t want to miss anytime with my friends but they all wanted me to go, so I told them to play nertz while I was gone, it’s not my favorite game to play.

I also made sure that Ashley had salsa waiting for me when I got home and Haze made scotharoos. It was pretty late so we went down to the basement to finish watching our apartment video and then talked the rest of the night.

Boise-Day 3 Wedding Day

The day we have all been waiting for since we met Erica had arrived. Finally after 3 years the wedding we had all heard about, to the man we had all heard about was taking place at 1pm. We got dressed and headed down to the temple.

I had a good thirty minutes of scripture study while waiting for the ceremony to end. Erica apparently bawled as soon as she knelled down and then the rest of my friends started crying too. We took some photos outside but these Idahoians don't know how hot really hot is, so they were all dieing to get out of the heat.

Walking out for the first time and then over to hug us

(He is taken now)

We took a quick detour to the mall while we passed the time until the luncheon. I have to give James propts, I thought a few pinatas was a perfect addition to any lunch, I loved the candy and the food for lunch wasn't bad either, in fact the honey butter was so good, I used it as my happiest moment for the day.

(escaping from the dogs)

Again we had an hour or so to kill before the reception, so we headed to the pool next door to cool down before we started dancing like maniacs at Erica's house.

We boxed out Jessica, but none of us got the flowers :(

The night had a tragic ending, yes Erica was married but Kara threw her back out dancing. That just goes to show you, we do not mess around when it comes to a dance party, go big or go home. Taylor Swift came on when we were driving home and we had to sing all the way home and even sitting in the drive way.

Boise-Day 2 Shooting Montana

Thursday was an amazing day. Woke up and was getting ready, when I didn't know what to wear. Gunnar called Paps and we were good to go shooting, so that made my clothing decision easy, camo shorts it was. We headed down to Wally world for some essentials, clay pigeons, ear plugs, and a 12 pack of pop. Drove just a few minutes from the house and Gunnar counted off 100 yards. He was money shooting the rifles. I on the other hand, couldn't hit a target to save my life. I felt bad for wasting just a few rounds of his ammo. Once we switched to the shotgun, it was another story. I really loved that gun, it seemed as if I couldn't miss. From candles to oranges to beer cans and clays, there wasn't much I didn't hunt down. And when we didn't hit them in the air, we just walked right up and took them out point blank. My proudest moment was hitting an egg with the shotgun, you can bet I yelled a yee haw when that egg splattered high in the ID sky. Gunnar and I highly suggest shooting candles too, they smell so nice after being shot. The afternoon of shooting couldn't get much better than a stop at the snow shack on State Street.

We picked up Butch and Mckayla from day care and Tammy made us sloppy joes while we waited for the rest of our crew to get here. It was fun catching up and finally getting to see Cristy (she is the one who most recently got back from a mission) and tease her again. I had Gunnar try and teach me how to do a back flip on the tramp, but while I did improve, I realized eventually there was no hope, especially with my thumb being out of whack.
We ended the night by watching Hannah Montana, (we all couldn't get enough of that boy) and it wouldn't have been an end of the night without a little dance party where we all tried to learn the pop it lock it polka dot it song
