Shotguns and Sewing Machines

No one has ever told me I have a split personality, but that doesn't mean I don't straddle the line between sane and insane. To be honest, I think everyone hides pieces of themselves in the deep shadows of their personality in order to suffice the public and their preconceived notions. Today I let my fellow bloggers into the dim lit corner of my soul, my sewing soul. Most people know me as a gun loving, sports going, brash 'president' and not the girl with a love to put the pedal to the metal on a sewing machine. And its true, though my skill in using the machine which weaves thread is quite lacking, I still try. One day my biggest challenge will not be how to work the machine or even difficult patterns, but just the time to use the forgotten trade. Below are some pictures of my efforts and that of a friends effort and her own deep shadow to shoot like
Annie Oakley.
Please tell me what organization orders large sized youth shirts for t-ballers? Im pretty sure Billy is one of the littlest on his team and yet he got a large shirt. A few hours later I tried to make it more his size, though I can see I probably should have cut the sleeves down a little more but atleast now they are not to his wrists.

My squares are not exactly straight, but the great thing about this kind of blanket is, when you flip it over, its harder to see my inaccuracies.

Not so sharp with the pink gun, but she was unstoppable with the shotgun!

Breeebs-
I'm so impressed! You hide so much talent. Teach me to make one of those quilts.

You should do a whole blog on being the perfect foster sister, because you're an expert! Those boys are so blessed to have you around.
